Functioning and purpose
The term "AHU" is used in an almost provocative way, in fact, if usually a AHU consists of a monoblock transportable on trucks and containers, this special Mega UTA® measures 31x20x8.5m getting to treat TWO MILLION cubic meters of air every hour (2,000,000 m3 / h).
What makes this AHU unique in its kind is precisely its size, in fact it is extremely similar to a Pack Export®, also from a functioning point of view: an external air intake fan creates a flow that is channeled first through the air filters, then in a cooling coil and finally the fans pour the air into the room inside the building.
Applications
The application of a Mega AHU is strictly related to the need to reduce energy waste by moving huge amounts of air to cool a room; in particular, the one created for ENI has been designed to cool a series of data collection centers, preventing any problems that may arise, primarily those caused by the sensitivity of the servers themselves.
