SELF-CLEANING FILTERS SELECTION GUIDE

Self-cleaning drum filters are suitable for the filtration of dry impurities.
In case of wet / oily impurities or sparks, this type of filter CAN NOT BE USED (consult our technical office for indications on the choice of the alternative product).

To select the ideal filter for your needs you need 4 basic information:
-Quantity of impurities in mg / m3.
-Dimensions of impurity particles in μm.
-Type of impurity: light or heavy.
-Air flow to be filtered in m3 / h.
Once you have collected the 4 basic information, you need 4 simple steps to find the filter:
Step1 : Find the work area.
Step2 : Find the working speed and the family filters.
Step3 : Find the size of the filter.
     Step4 : Choose the model.

CLASSIC FILTERS

Functioning and purpose

This category includes filters with dustiness level: A-B (more information below) which also include a jacketed version.
A fan is installed downstream of the filter thanks to which the sucked air enters perpendicularly to the drum and exits axially. In this way the filtering septum stops the impurities that are suspended in the air taken up.
The filter is also equipped with a gearmotor fitted with a rubber wheel. This is necessary for the rotation of the drum, which is managed by a timed control or pressure switch. A special belt transmits the movement also to the trolley for the translation of the cleaning nozzles. In this way the vents run along the surface of the filter and, thanks to a suction system, they clean and regenerate the septum removing the impurities that are deposited there.

Applications

These filters are suitable for all industrial environments where there is a need to filter dry impurities.
The choice of the type of filter to be used must be made through our 'Filter selection guide'.
Dustiness: A
Series: FR/I
Rotating drum covered with synthetic filtering class G4 material, one suction nozzle and four working speeds.
Dustiness: B
Series: FR/I-W2
Rotating drum covered with synthetic filtering class M6, two suction nozzles and two working speeds.

MULTI WASTE FILTERS

Functioning and purpose

The air to be filtered enters the upper part of the filter, then it is distributed and accelerated by the internal calibration blade and is rotated with a centrifugal effect around the drum; in this way the heaviest substances are deposited on the floor, whose particular conical shape obliges these deposits to concentrate in the collection area.
Once inside the jacket, the air taken up by the fan placed downstream of the filter enters perpendicularly to the drum and exits axially. In this way the filtering septum stops the impurities present. The filter is also equipped with a gearmotor fitted with a rubber wheel. This is necessary for the rotation of the drum, which is managed by means of a timed control or pressure switch. An electric piston allows the cleaning nozzles to slide along the surface of the filter and a special cleaning system generates the suction of the same nozzles, so that they clean and regenerate the filtering septum removing the impurities that are deposited there.

Applications

These filters are suitable for all industrial environments where there is a need to filter dry impurities.
The choice of the type of filter to be used must be made through our 'Filter selection guide'.

FILTERS + PRE-FILTERS

FILTERS AND

PRE-FILTERS

Furthermore, for maximum dust levels D-E, we propose the classic filters preceded by prefilters; in this way, starting from the characteristics of the classic filters, we can reach the technical data suitable for filtering the air which has large fibers mixed with fine dust
Dustiness: D
Series: PREFILTER + FR/I-W2

FR / I-W2 series rotating drum, M6 filtration class, two suction nozzles and one working speed; thanks to the prefilter that precedes it, it can be used for high levels of dust.
Dustiness: E
Series: PREFILTER + FR/I-W4

Rotary drum of the FR / I-W4 series, M6 filtration class, four suction nozzles and one working speed; thanks to the prefilter that precedes it, it can be used for maximum dust levels.
